One UI 9 goes beyond the first markets
Samsung has officially started the rollout One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series on September 16. The Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 in South Korea were the first to receive the update. The stable version later began rolling out to other markets, with Europe and India joining the rollout at the end of September. In the European and Indian markets, the beta test participants were the first to receive the update, after which Samsung gradually expands the availability of the firmware to other Galaxy S26 owners. Therefore, the absence of a message about the new software does not mean that the smartphone will not receive One UI 9. The update is distributed in waves.
What’s new in One UI 9
One UI 9 is built on Android 17 and brings to the Galaxy S26 new Galaxy AI features, personalization tools, and enhanced camera and system functionality. Samsung singles out several innovations.

My FanCam automatically keeps a person in the frame
One of the new functions was My FanCam. It can track a selected person in an already recorded video and automatically change the framing, keeping them in the center of the composition. This is especially useful when shooting moving objects or people, when the operator did not have time to constantly adjust the composition manually.
Updated Now Brief and Now Nudge
Samsung has also updated the Galaxy information tools. Cards Now Brief now you can edit, and Now Nudge got new usage scenarios. The company has also improved Creative Studio, Interpreter and Document Scan. Some Galaxy AI features may vary by country, language, model, and software version.
The Warranty and Care section appeared in the settings
Another innovation of One UI 9 was a separate section Warranty and Care in smartphone settings. It combines information about the device’s warranty, diagnostics and available repair options. This should make it easier to find service information without having to switch between different Samsung services. One UI 9 also includes additional changes in security, personalization and interaction with Galaxy AI. Samsung notes that the availability of certain features may vary by region and device.

Europe and India have already joined the stable release, with subsequent countries receiving the firmware gradually.
