HyperOS 4 began to receive first users outside China. It became one of the first smartphones with a global stable version of the system POCO F8 Pro. The update is distributed under no OS4.0.2.0.XPKMIXMand its size is approximately 8.4 GB. This is the transition from beta testing to stable global deployment after the pre-launch HyperOS 4 in China. Xiaomi has also published the update schedule for other devices, but Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO smartphones will receive the new firmware gradually – depending on the model and region.
POCO F8 Pro was the first to receive global HyperOS 4
Firmware with index is available for POCO F8 Pro OS4.0.2.0.XPKMIXM. According to sources, the download takes about 8.4 GB. It’s quite a large package, so it’s worth checking your storage space before installing.

One of the main changes was a new visual concept Soft Light Glass. It includes updated lighting effects, changed interface elements and a new design of the system. Xiaomi has also redesigned the lock screen, widgets and home screen settings. Thus, HyperOS 4 should be noticeably different from the previous version, not only in individual functions, but also in general appearance.
HyperOS 4 promises smoother operation of smartphones
The update is not limited to design changes. Xiaomi claims to optimize work with RAM and application launch. The company also promises reduced delays when opening applications and scrolling through the interface. Special mention is made of reducing the number of dropped frames during video playback and improving the overall smoothness of the system. However, for now, these are the manufacturer’s statements, and not the results of independent tests. The real impact of HyperOS 4 on POCO F8 Pro performance can be assessed after longer use and comparison with the previous firmware version.
What artificial intelligence features will appear in the global HyperOS 4
Xiaomi has also updated its AI toolset. Among the announced capabilities are improved work with voice notes, speech recognition and the transformation of spoken information into tasks. Some tools help you organize your notes and find the information you need faster. This should make it easier to work with the data without having to manually go through a large volume of records. However, there is an important nuance: not all Xiaomi AI features introduced for the Chinese market will necessarily be available in the global HyperOS 4. Part of the possibilities depends on services that work mainly in China. Xiaomi has not yet confirmed the full list of features for the global version of the POCO F8 Pro.

Which Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO smartphones will get HyperOS 4 next
The POCO F8 Pro is just one of the first wave devices. The initial list also included smartphones of the Xiaomi 17 series, POCO F8 Ultra and several Redmi Note 15 models. Xiaomi plans to expand the rollout gradually. The next batch of devices should receive the update from mid-November, with another wave planned for December. At the same time, this schedule does not guarantee that all the mentioned smartphones will receive the firmware on the same day. The terms depend on the specific model, region and software version of the device. The order of the models in the list also does not necessarily correspond to the order of the actual release of updates.
How to check for HyperOS 4 on POCO F8 Pro
POCO F8 Pro owners can independently check whether the new firmware is available to them:
- Open it Settings.
- Go to section About the phone.
- Click on the box with the HyperOS version.
- Check for an available update.
Since the package takes about 8.4 GB, it is best to use a stable Wi-Fi connection to download. You should also free up enough storage space and charge your smartphone in advance. The global rollout of HyperOS 4 has already begun, but the appearance of the update notification depends on the region and software version of the device. If the firmware is not yet available, you will have to wait for the next stage of distribution.
