iQOO Neo12 will be presented by the end of October 2026. This was reported by Luo Jiahui, manager of Neo’s product line, on October 9. She did not name the exact date of the presentation, but promised performance at the level of flagship iQOO Ultra models. According to previous leaks, the smartphone will receive a processor Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5an additional game chip, active cooling and a display with a refresh rate of up to 185 Hz.
If these specifications are confirmed, the iQOO Neo12 will be one of the most interesting smartphones for mobile gaming. At the same time, most of the technical details have not yet been confirmed by the manufacturer.
iQOO Neo12 will receive active Ice Dome cooling
One of the main updates to the iQOO Neo12 should be an improved active cooling system Ice Dome. According to preliminary data, the company redesigned the air channel to more efficiently dissipate heat during long gaming sessions and work under high load. For a gaming smartphone, not only peak performance is important. If the processor overheats, the system may drop frequencies, causing the frame rate to drop. Active cooling can potentially help maintain stable performance for longer. However, it is not yet known how loud the built-in fan will be, how much energy it will consume and how it will affect autonomy. The real efficiency of the system can be assessed only after independent tests.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and an additional gaming chip
According to information insider Experience More, the iQOO Neo12 will run on a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 combined with the proprietary gaming chip Q3. The additional processor should help when running games and optimizing graphics. However, its specific features and benefits for Neo12 have not yet been revealed. The leak also mentions the result of the preliminary test: 3,827 points in single-core and 12,043 points in multi-core mode. Without confirmation of the device model, test version, and measurement conditions, these numbers should be taken as preliminary data, not definitive performance.
The Visionox display can receive a frequency of 185 Hz
According to the data the Whylab insider, iQOO Neo12 will be equipped with a flat 6.83-inch display with 2K resolution and refresh rate up to 185 Hz. The supplier of the panel will allegedly be Visionox, which will use new generation materials. The manager of the Neo product line also said that the smartphone will have the highest screen refresh rate in the history of the series. At the same time, she did not name a specific meaning. For comparison, the previous iQOO Neo11 received a 2K BOE display with a frequency of 144 Hz. The move to 185Hz could provide smoother motion in compatible games if they support that frame rate. However, leaks about the new screen are conflicting, with some reports mentioning 165Hz instead of 185Hz. Therefore, the final characteristics of the display remain unknown.

More than 9000 mAh battery and 100 W charging
Another expected upgrade is a larger battery. According to preliminary data, the battery capacity of iQOO Neo12 will exceed 9000 mAhand the power of wired charging will be 100 W. For comparison, the iQOO Neo11 was equipped with a 7500 mAh battery. If the new data is confirmed, the increase in capacity will be significant and could help offset the power consumption of the powerful processor, high refresh rate display and active fan. However, the battery capacity itself does not determine the actual operating time. It will also depend on screen brightness, refresh rate settings, processor load and cooling system performance.
When will iQOO Neo12 be presented and how much will it cost
iQOO has confirmed that the presentation will take place in October, but has not yet announced the exact date and price of the smartphone. For reference, the iQOO Neo11 launched in China last year at 2,599 yuan — about $365 at the exchange rate at the time. The novelty may turn out to be more expensive due to the display, cooling system and other hardware upgrades. Higher memory prices can be an additional factor. The iQOO Neo12 is expected to complement the brand’s flagship line alongside the iQOO 16, but will have its own emphasis on gaming performance and stable performance under load.
The main thing: iQOO Neo12 promises to combine a powerful processor, active cooling, a display with a high refresh rate and a large battery. However, the frequency of 185 Hz, the battery of more than 9000 mAh and the test results remain at the level of leaks. Final specifications, price and presentation date will be known after the official announcement.
